The author of EastSheenMatters is Richard White. He has lived in East Sheen for over forty years. He is a retired solicitor and former Judge in the Special Educational Needs and Welfare Benefits Divisions of the Tribunal Service.

He is a member of the committee of the Mortlake with East Sheen Society (MESS), though this blog is entirely independent of MESS. He has been a member of the Barnes Home Guard Club in East Sheen for thirty years. He has given talks on the local history of East Sheen and Mortlake at the Barnes and Mortlake History Society, FiSH and the Barnes Home Guard Club.

The blog seeks to provide an independent, politically unaffiliated, news and information outlet for East Sheen and Mortlake to ensure that there is informed discussion among residents and retailers.
