Affordable Housing

This letter published in the Guardian today is indeed concerning. But given the attitude of Richmond Council to the development at the Stag Brewery, and in particular their total failure to press for a higher percentage of affordable housing at the Public Inquiry, there is a whiff of hypocrisy in Councillor Jim Millard, Deputy Leader of the Council, associating himself with the ‘profound betrayal’ to the local community. Unless of course somewhat belatedly the Council has recognised its housing responsibilities.

    • We can only see what is in the Guardian letter as we have not seen the ‘leaked memo’.
      It is somewhat at odds with the various reports published in July 2025.
      But who knows who is spinning what?
