End of an era

Dave Emms who has owned Chubbs the Butcher for 20 years and been associated for 30 years before that has announced that he is closing down on Saturday 15th August.

He still has some excellent sausages for sale, prepared this morning, if you want to slip in.

Happy retirement to Dave. He has earnt it.

PS His mum babysat for us in the 1980s.

    This reads as if Dave is closing this
    Saturday, but he told me the 15th, which
    is what the notice in the window says,
    the 15th

    We had Mrs Emms to clean and look after our boys when we went out. They loved her so much. Nick was able to come with me to her funeral. She was so proud of David and all he achieved.
