David Hedley

Oboe and Piano

A graduate of the Royal College of Music, David Hedley studied Oboe with Olivier Stankiewicz, Juliana Koch, Fabien Thouand and Cor Anglais with Christine Pendrill. He has appeared as guest principal oboe with world renowned ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Welsh National Opera, and Camerata Nordica, performing across the UK and Europe in many of the world’s most prestigious concert halls along with studio recording work and live television broadcasts at the BBC Proms.

He has had the privilege of working with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Harding, and Gianandrea Noseda, experiences that continue to shape his artistry and inspire his commitment to orchestral performance. Alongside his orchestral work, David is also active in chamber music, solo performances and educational projects, sharing his passion for the oboe with aspiring students and audiences from every walk of life.
