Don’t forget the East Sheen and Mortlake Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph on Sheen Lane this Sunday 8th November at 11am.

Make sure to get there early to get a good view of the marching groups, the laying of wreaths on behalf of local civic groups and the addresses on behalf of the local churches all led by former Royal Marine Alastair Grant.

PS The word Cenotaph is of Greek origin, kenos meaning empty and taphos meaning tomb.
