This is all ridiculous; the people at Barnes Common have been talking about their plans for literally years, particularly to those people directly adjacent to the park. So, to suggest that we need more consultation is crazy. As for the noise that people talk about. Excuse me, we are talking about a park right next to an extremely busy railway line, two in fact. This hysteria is being whipped up by people who just don’t want anything to change and I feel disappointed that you appear to have got on the bandwagon and are fanning the flames.

ESM fanning flames? Surely not. Why would what is the only independent media outlet between Putney and Richmond not report on something of importance to the residents of Mortlake.
Noise is only one issue. The pool is another. A skate park is another.
And people’s minds are sometimes focused when a planning application is made.
NB ESM provides an opportunity to express their opinion even if it does not agree with content.
